IS IT NORMAL TO BE NERVOUS AT THE PAGEANT?

Our topic for today is Is it normal to be nervous at the pageant?
A very common question in every pageant woman’s mind and I believe with my experience at the pageant, it’s absolutely normal to be nervous when you are at the pageant.
The contestants are in a different zone when they decide to be part of the pageant. They are anxious, worried, unsure how things are going to work out once the pageant begins.
There are some who are over confident about their looks, the expensive clothes they are wearing and much more.
Then there are few who are under confident and are scared to face the crowd.
Every contestant is different with different problems but I always suggest focus on solution rather than problems.
Now coming to the important part of pageant and that is, is it normal to be nervous. Believe me when I say this, every pageant woman goes through this nervousness ( even if it was Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai or Manushi Chhillar) all of them have been nervous, their legs must have been shivering.
It’s perfectly fine to be nervous infact it’s very normal to be nervous. I think a little pressure is always good. One performs better under pressure.
Pageant is going to break you down, there are many situations when you want to give up, the scenario is such where each contestant is trying to prove themselves either by standing out of by pulling down others, you have to be careful in such situations.
One thing that works best is staying calm, composed and focused, if that happens then nothing can break you and pull you down.
Stay focused on the crown. Follow rules and regulations strictly. Be on time. Look into the mirror and practice your introduction and Question and Answers. Fight with your nervousness. Pageant prep is very important and that can help you fight nervousness.
If there is still any nervousness then don’t panic it’s ok to be nervous. But don’t leave any stone unturned and regret later. Work hard,  stay focused. Believe in yourself and keep moving forward.
