Absolu Elle, leading pageant training and modeling academy in India writes week after week on topics related to pageantry and personality development.
I personally call this pageant strategy to win the pageant though others call this pageant etiquette.
Few pageant etiquette tips to win the pageant:
  • Be on time: This is something I repeatedly ask my students to do. I always believe if you are not there on time someone else is there so why not you. Many contestants do not take this seriously and feel its ok to be 10 minutes late but for your information the team of the organizers have already marked you late without your knowledge. So always be on time irrespective you are doing a pageant or not doing a pageant.
  • Follow rules: Next very important part of being a pageant woman. Always remember rules are made to follow and not meant to break. Go through your itinerary more than 2 times to understand every detail given by organizers. Do not annoy them by asking silly questions. Read rules and follow them.
  • Make the next morning preparation at night: I know for sure you girls are away from home and you are also out of your comfort zone to stand for long hours for rampwalk training but one thing that’s important is how much everyone is tired you cannot sleep till you keep everything ready for next day morning. It saves your time and you don’t panic too searching for things.
  • Don’t become a critic: you are not there to criticize others, make groups and best friends.  You are there to compete, to enjoy the journey of being a pageant woman. Don’t belittle anyone.  There are few pageant women I have seen who love to laugh at others. Trust me that’s not a good thing to do.
  • Thank you cards: It’s one way to show your love and gratitude to the organizers. Carry small Thank you cards for all co contestants. mentors and organizers.
  • Things to carry: Make your list of things that you need to carry with you at the pageant. Some energy bars( Nature’s basket is full of it), band-aid,  extra pair of stilettoes,  U pins, needle and thread, safety pins,  donut bun, a good deodorant.
Keep in mind the points we have mentioned and trust me no way would you fail.
