Choosing the right eye pallet for the pageant

Pageant and makeup go hand in hand and have a long history. No pageant preparation is complete without knowledge of no makeup makeup look.

I have been training women for their respective pageants for more than a decade now and one problem that I usually see them facing is the right eye makeup pallet.

To begin with Indian skin color that we have the right brown color ( I prefer the eye pallet from the revolution) it has the right brown that we need for crease line which is also a transition line separating the other colors we use for the eye makeup.

The right brown is very important, it should neither be too dark nor too light .

The other colors that we need in the pallet is different shades of orange that again goes beautifully on Indian skin. Different shades of pink are also good, with that we can have some colors with shimmer.

Black is good if you need Smokey eye on certain days at the pageant.

Few natural colors, browns, glitter for the edges look good at the pageant. Once you are at the pageant you are expected to look amazing every day that includes good makeup, good dress and the right footwear.

In such situations good eye makeup is quite a savior, all attention are on your face the moment you step in for grooming sessions and you can make all the difference if you have the right eye makeup.

In this context of requirements one thing that plays very important role is good eye pallet. I have seen many of my students bringing huge eye pallet with hundreds of colors,  trust me you don’t need all that you need the right color pallet that has orange, brown, few shades of blue, pink and black and few glitter too and you are sorted.

A pallet of 24 colors is good to go as a beginner,  always remember makeup is an art and needs lot of practice. So I suggest start with this and then you can keep buying, market is full of eye pallet from some amazing brands.
